Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.1 patch notes are live as of September 10, and the headline fix is exactly what players demanded: shots that show a 100% chance to hit will no longer miss. The first major post-launch patch from Bit Reactor is a pure bug-fix update focused on combat reliability, PC stability, and campaign blockers - no new story content, but a lot of friction removed from the Clone Wars tactics game that launched August 27, 2026.

What Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.1 changes

Update 1.1 is Bit Reactor's first major patch for Star Wars Zero Company, and it is deliberately narrow. This is not a balance pass or content drop. According to GameWatcher and the official EA patch notes, the update targets crashes, stability, combat logic, camera behavior, and mission bugs, with smaller quality-of-life tweaks to tutorials and upgrades.

The game launched August 27, 2026 on PC via EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store, plus PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As a turn-based tactics game where every percentage point matters, early technical issues hit harder than usual. Players reported reliable shots whiffing, Overwatch firing through cover, and in the worst cases, Beskar mode saves vanishing. Update 1.1 is meant to restore trust in the core loop before anything new is added.

Bit Reactor has also been clear about what this patch does not do. There is no official mod support in 1.1. Lead Producer Caydence Funk previously said the studio respects the modding community but has no plans for proper mod support, and GameWatcher confirms that stance has not changed with this update. An active unofficial mod scene exists on PC, but official updates can break those mods, so expect some incompatibility after patching.

The 100% hit chance bug players hated

Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.1 patch notes fix the most complained-about combat bug: attacks missing despite displaying a 100% chance to hit. If you play tactics games, you know why this one stung. You flank, you set up, you see that guaranteed number - and then the shot misses. It breaks the implicit contract of the genre.

Retrogems and PC Gamer both highlight this as the headline correction. After the patch, tactical combat correctly resolves 100% shots as hits. The fix also extends to mouse and keyboard targeting for area-of-effect abilities, which was misaligned across missions. Your AoE preview now matches where damage actually lands, so you will not waste a grenade or Force power on an offset indicator.

For PC players, the practical impact is immediate. You can trust the UI again. That changes how you plan turns, especially on higher difficulties and in Beskar mode where a single wasted action can snowball into a squad wipe. No more hedging against a phantom miss chance that should not exist.

Overwatch and combat fixes

Overwatch gets a full logic pass in Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.1. Before the patch, enemies could trigger Overwatch through solid objects and hit units outside the intended targeting cone. That meant cover did not always mean cover, and you could take reaction fire you had no way to predict.

Update 1.1 corrects line-of-sight for Overwatch so solid terrain actually blocks shots, and attacks no longer trigger against units outside the cone. Retrogems notes Captain Coil also stops trying to heal fallen allies after an enemy retaliation downs them - a small but telling fix for reaction sequencing that was causing wasted actions and confusing animations.

Weapon and ability damage gets cleaned up too. Tier 2 through Tier 4 Scattergun variants were incorrectly borrowing base stats from Tier 1 models, which flattened progression. That is now fixed, so upgrading actually feels like an upgrade. The DC-17m Anti-Armor shot, Ion Blasters, and Tel-Rea Vokoss' Force attacks also received corrections to damage and critical-hit behavior. Retrogems reports that critical strike bonuses and cross-formation modifiers were stacking twice on some ranged Force attacks, and displayed damage did not match actual output. Both issues are now aligned with the UI values.

One more combat-adjacent fix helps when things go sideways: operatives knocked outside boundary walls become instantly selectable again. Previously you could get stuck trying to re-select a unit that was pushed out of bounds. Now you can pull them back into the fight without reloading.

PC stability and performance improvements

PC stability is the other pillar of Star Wars Zero Company Update 1.1. Bit Reactor addressed several crash causes, visual stutters, and camera behavior issues that were most noticeable during longer sessions and intense firefights.

The biggest save-related fixes target Beskar mode. Players reported Beskar saves being temporarily deleted and crashes tied to that mode. Update 1.1 secures those saves and adds protection against save corruption after a sudden or forced shutdown. If your PC hard-crashes or you have to kill the process, the game is now much less likely to corrupt your campaign progress.

On the performance side, EA updated the recommended Nvidia and AMD driver prompts and cleaned up the graphics menu. The menu no longer incorrectly mentions ray tracing for global illumination, which was confusing players checking their settings. For older but still supported hardware, there is a new practical option: PC players on Nvidia GTX 10-series or RTX 20-series GPUs that meet minimum requirements can turn off Environment Geometry Detail. GameWatcher notes EA recommends this toggle to reduce rendering overhead and potentially improve frame rates on those cards. It is not a magic FPS boost, but if you are hovering just below 60 on an older card, it is worth testing.

Campaign and account fixes round out the patch. The Weapon Mods tutorial can now be closed properly with the back option, canceling a multi-cycle upgrade correctly resets its progress display, and profile duplicates caused by the Databank Customization facility are gone. Players who bought the Deluxe Edition or pre-ordered should also finally receive their missing digital bonuses automatically - those items were locked for some accounts since launch.

Is Star Wars Zero Company worth jumping into after the patch?

Star Wars Zero Company launched to a solid reception for its Clone Wars-era tactics, but the early conversation was dominated by reliability complaints rather than strategy. When your 100% shots miss and Overwatch ignores walls, it is hard to evaluate the actual design.

Star Wars Zero Company: Patch 1.1 Finally Fixes 100% Hit Chance Misses

Update 1.1 does not add missions or rework balance, but it removes the biggest reasons to wait. Combat math now matches what you see, reaction fire respects cover, weapon progression works as intended, and the scariest PC issues - Beskar save deletion and corruption after crashes - are addressed. For a tactics game, that reliability is the whole foundation.

Tel-Rea Vokoss' hero mission also gets a specific late-game fix worth calling out. The final battle no longer ends prematurely when only one survival turn remains, and enemy targeting logic now reacts correctly when a squadmate rescues the imperiled operative. If you bounced off that questline due to a broken trigger, it should now complete as intended.

Should you start or return now? If you were holding off because of the hit-chance bug, Overwatch weirdness, or Beskar instability, this patch is the green light. If you were waiting for new content or official mod support, you will still be waiting - Bit Reactor kept this update strictly to critical bugs. Keep your graphics drivers updated to the newly flagged minimum versions, and if you are on a GTX 10-series or RTX 20-series card, try the Environment Geometry Detail toggle first before lowering broader settings.
